When you enroll in one or more support groups, you enter a community of understanding. Others who have suffered loss similar to yours, who feel or have felt the way you do now are there for you, when you can’t sleep, when you can’t work or focus, when you can’t see a way out. All hands are extended, and the view from where other participants are may be one you hadn’t made out clearly while surrounded with the emptiness of loss.

Nothing is silly or unbelievable about how and when you react to a rising wave of grief. Group members, with the backup of a professional facilitator, are there to help you see the calm that lies over the crest of grief’s rising wave. And when the next wave rises, your support group experience could leave you better prepared.

You’re not ready for face-to-face, but you are ready to face some serious issues with the help and support of others. You’re comfortable with computers, and with the anonymity they provide. But you are looking for some serious explorations and ways out of what is grieving you. Something with a little more structure than a chat room, something that gives you the feeling you’re going somewhere.
There is no need to keep your grief in isolation, even if you feel it must be kept private. Take those small, easy steps into the daylight, and take them with guidance. Each online support group is moderated by a professional experienced in counseling people who have grief similar to yours.
Participants drive the discussion, with a little navigation at times from the professional facilitator, whose role is to keep the group as positive and beneficial as possible for all. The experienced, caring professionals are donating their time which, along with generous donations, allows us to bring you these important services, free of charge.

Feel free to register for on-line support with others who face or have faced issues like yours, from the loss of a loved one to loss of health, employment or relationships, and many more. Or feel free to request a group meeting around a specific topic. As our site expands, keep checking our growing list of offerings and find when your ideal support group will be ready to begin. We will offer almost any group if there are at least five other people who would like to participate.
There’s a comfortable chair and a warm welcome awaiting you. You’re a contributor, not just a reader. While helping yourself, you’re giving others a chance to look at themselves through the lens of the feelings you share.

The atmosphere is casual, the hours convenient, and the service free. Register, take a screen name and find the topic that suits you best. Then let your guard down and “talk” about it.

NGSS TeleSupport Groups bring you together with people who have suffered as you do. Some may be longer in the grieving process, some maybe not as long as you. If anybody is going to listen, truly listen, it is in the support group setting. The experience can provide sympathy, encouragement, reinforcement and validation of your feelings – along with tips for getting through the pain.

Not everyone is comfortable confronting loss face-to-face. But if you still want to talk to real people, even if you don’t know them by their full names, try support that comes over a conference call. It’s real-time and people can hear what you’re feeling along with what you’re saying. You can do the same with them, hear the sounds from each others’ heart in a way you can’t in a chat room online. The support you get is instant

.
Support group facilitators are there – professionals, who are only there to guide, not lecture. You can move at your own pace, joining when you feel comfortable enough to share and help others. Participants drive the discussion, with a little navigation at times from the professional facilitator, whose role is to keep the group as positive and beneficial as possible for all. The experienced, caring professionals are donating their time which, along with generous donations, allows us to bring you these important services, free of charge. We hope our list of topics fits your needs. It is always open to your suggestions for new topics. Link to the topic of your choice and get into as many of the scheduled sessions as you’d like.
